Earlier this week we found out that there was a pause in start time for Notre Dame’s Week 5 contest at North Carolina.
However, late on Saturday night, an update was posted as ESPN made their decision to have Miami vs. Clemson in their primetime night slot. That means that the Irish will take on the Tar Heels during the early slot, with a 11 a.m. CDT kickoff.
This will be the earliest start time for Notre Dame so far in the 2026 season, as they’ve played midafternoon or at night in every other contest. It will be interesting to see how the team reacts to it along with a bit of a time change. The coaching staff could move practice around during the week so that the team can make the adjustment.
Either way, we can now start making our plans for next
Saturday, when Notre Dame travels to take on North Carolina.
