There was some shake up in the US LBM Coaches Poll after Week 2, with Notre Dame being one of the teams to benefit.
The biggest move was a new No. 1, after Texas defeated Ohio State with a touchdown in the final minute to take a 24-23 victory on Saturday night, with the Longhorns taking the new spot. The Irish moved to No. 3, with just No. 2 Georgia ahead of them. Indiana and Miami round out the top-5.
The Buckeyes, LSU, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Alabama round out the top-10, with Notre Dame looking at its game with the Hurricanes as a potential top-5 matchup when the face each other later in the season. BYU checked in at No. 13, with SMU at No. 16, keeping three potential top-25 matchups on the Irish’s schedule.
