Clark Lea, a former assistant coach for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, is now the head coach for Vanderbilt.
Vanderbilt pulled off a stunning win Saturday against N.C. State when Wolfpack quarterback CJ Bailey fumbled in his own end zone while trying to run out the clock.
Lea, who was the defensive coordinator at Notre Dame from 2018 to 2020 and the Fighting Irish linebackers coach in 2017, got to watch his Commodores squad overcome a late interception to win 35-31.
