No. 2 Notre Dame has released the depth chart for its upcoming matchup against No. 8 BYU.
Surprises are few -- star cornerback Leonard Moore will be available coming off of a concussion that caused him to miss the 58-7 win over Stanford. Tight end Ty Washington and linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa are also on the depth chart after missing the Stanford game with an illness and injury, respectively.
Defensive lineman Jason Onye and safety Brauntae Johnson remain unavailable.
Perhaps there is one surprise -- running back Aneyas Williams remains the RB1. Williams, the presumptive starter going into the season, has been underwhelming so far through six games, while Jonaz Walton has made a strong case to be RB1. Nolan James Jr. has also looked good at
times, as well.
It might seem shocking for Williams to remain number one after Walton had a two-touchdown day on Saturday, including a 97-yard house call, but Notre Dame has been giving carries to all three running backs, and the player who takes the first offensive snap hasn't necessarily been RB1 on the depth chart. Insert shrug emoji here.
We should note that Walton also earned a player of the week nod, for what it's worth.
At least Moore is back for a challenging game against BYU.
