Earlier this week Notre Dame star cornerback Leonard Moore was listed as questionable on the availability report, and on Thursday, head coach Marcus Freeman updated his status as the top-10 matchup against BYU is almost here.
Drew Mentock of Irish Illustrated shared on social media that Freeman believes that his star will play, as he said “they know that game plan… if they keep trending in the direction they’re going, we’re expecting them to hopefully help us on Saturday.” He was also talking about defensive lineman Jason Onye, who also was given the same designation as Moore earlier this week.
It’s really hard to say when exactly a player can return from a concussion, as there is plenty of caution regarding Moore coming back to the field. Freeman
will trust his medical staff, and they will surely make the right decision as the game gets closer.
Either way, it does look like Moore and Onye will give it a go against BYU, and that’s great news as it will be all hands on deck for this primetime contest.
