Late in Notre Dame’s 37-26 win over North Carolina, star cornerback Leonard Moore took extra time to get off the field, and didn’t return.
He seemed like he had a slight limp as he left, and following the game, head coach Marcus Freeman shared a quick update on his health. He said that Moore will be evaluated, but no other information aside from that according to Jack Soble.
Right now it’s a wait-and-see for the Irish star, and that’s not a great sign. There is some good depth in the secondary, but losing a player like Moore would still be devastating. Hopefully nothing is wrong and we can see him next week against Stanford. If not, BYU looms in two weeks.
I’d assume that either later today or latest on Monday when Freeman meets with the media
we’ll got a much more in-depth update on Moore’s status.
Leonard Moore will be evaluated, Marcus Freeman said. No further update.
