Fox college football analyst Joel Klatt has liked what he’s seen from US LBM Coaches Poll No. 3 ranked Notre Dame so far this season.
The former Colorado quarterback has been confident in the past about the Fighting Irish reaching the College Football Playoff after last season’s snub
. On his podcast, The Joel Klatt Show, earlier in the week he ranked Notre Dame at No. 5 in his personal top-10, mainly due to the Irish’s 49-10 win over Purdue last weekend.Klatt put Georgia, Texas, Ohio State and Miami ahead of the Irish.
“I think Notre Dame is a really good team, but do I know that from what I’ve seen or do I believe that because of their culture with Marcus Freeman?,” Klatt said. “Probably the latter, so I’ll keep them at No. 5, especially after
they took care of business against Purdue.”
Notre Dame (4-0) will face North Carolina (2-1) on the road this Saturday.
