Former Notre Dame offensive lineman Jarrett Patterson has been shipped to a new team for his fourth year in the NFL.
National Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday that Patterson, an interior lineman for the Houston Texans the past three seasons, was traded to the San Francisco 49ers for a 2027 NFL draft seventh-round pick. He noted on social media that the Niners were in the market for a new lineman, and this move showed that was the case.
Patterson, a Notre Dame team captain who was voted the offensive lineman of the year in 2022, played 48 games for the Irish and mainly played at center. A 2023 Senior Bowl selection, he never allowed a sack in his Notre Dame career and sacrificed just five quarterback hits.

NFL draft by Houston, Patterson played in 38 games and started in 20 of them for the Texans.
