Notre Dame football plays a service academy every season, and this fall it has Navy on the schedule.
The game will be played in on Halloween in Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and for Navy, it will be a special one. On Tuesday Matt Fortuna shared on social media
that they released their 100th anniversary uniforms celebrating, its 1926 national championship team, their only one, which they will wear against the Irish. It’s a unique homage to the title, as the jersey’s are a complete throwback to that era of football. The helmets don’t look like they will have anything special on them, and they won’t be wearing leather ones either. It comes with a patch on the right shoulder, signifying the centennial celebration of their only championship.
At this moment, it does not look like Notre Dame will wear an alternate uniform, but that could change as the game gets closer.
