Cole Knuble played a few seasons with the Notre Dame men’s hockey team before making the jump to the NHL.
In his first season with the Philadelphia Flyers, Knuble has made an immediate impact. He scored his first two career goals in the Flyers’ 3-1 win over Buffalo on Wednesday.
Knuble is the son of Mike Knuble, who played in the NHL for 16 seasons at right wing. Mike played a majority of his career for the Flyers.
“It’s crazy. I’ve been a fan of this team my whole life,” Cole Knuble said in a postgame interview with NHL on TNT. “I’m just grateful to be part of this organization. They’ve been great to me since the day I got drafted. I’m glad I can contribute.”
Cole notched his first-career goal at 14:49 in the first period.
“It was amazing,” Cole
said. “I just wish I remembered it more. I’ve been dreaming about it my whole life.”
Cole finished with 30 goals, 60 assists and six game-winning scores through three seasons with Notre Dame. He was drafted by the Flyers in 2023.
