Notre Dame football continues to have one of the largest footprints in the National Football League.
According to a list compiled by the College Football Report, 47 former Irish have found themselves on an NFL roster for this upcoming season. That number puts Notre Dame behind only Ohio State (61), Alabama (61), Georgia (57), and LSU (49) in representation.
All six Notre Dame players who were drafted in this past NFL Draft survived roster cuts and made their teams. That group is headlined by Jeremiyah Love, who was the No. 3 overall pick in the draft by the Arizona Cardinals as well as his backfield teammate Jadarian Price who went No. 32 overall by the Seattle Seahawks.

For Notre Dame, the 47-player total offers another measure of impact that the program continues to have in the sport. Throughout NFL locker rooms, Notre Dame is producing players who can be stars of their team or contributors on special teams.
Notre Dame will show up a future class of NFL players when they kickoff on Sunday vs the Wisconsin Badgers at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
