Quarterback CJ Carr has guided US LBM Coaches Poll No. 3 Notre Dame to a promising 4-0 start to the 2026 season.

Carr, who is still considered a Heisman Trophy hopeful, has been a top-5 graded signal caller so far, according to Pro Football Focus College.

PFF gave Carr a 91.5 grade, which is fifth-best on the list. Miami’s Darian Mensah is the highest-graded QB (94.1), followed by Ohio State’s Julian Sayin (92.5), Nebraska’s Anthony Colandrea (92.4) and Alabama’s Keelon Russell (91.9).

Through four games so far this season, Carr has completed 70.5 of his passes for 963 yards, nine touchdowns, a 184.4 QB rating and an interception for the Fighting Irish. Carr also has two rushing scores.

Notre Dame (4-0) is set to face UNC (2-1) on Saturday.
