Could former Notre Dame tight end Eli Raridon be the latest NFL success story?
In a recent Boston Herald article written by Doug Kyed, it appears that Raridon has been getting a lot of attention of the New England Patriot quarterbacks.
Raridon has reportedly been the No. 2 tight end playing behind Hunter Henry. Tight end Julian Hill was supposed to be the backup for the Patriots but a season-ending injury has opened up an opportunity for Raridon to lock down the role. In Friday's practice, he reportedly had three touchdowns in 7-on-7 drills and 11-on-11 drills.
The Patriots starting quarterback Drake Maye emphasized that he was impressed with Raridon's ability to play both tight end spots and claims he is doing things the right way for a young
player.
The New England Patriots picked Raridon with the 95th overall pick in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Playing for Notre Dame, he played in 40 games and started in 18. Raridon received 48 catches for 623 yards and three touchdowns in his time in South Bend.
Early reports seem to suggest that Raridon is embracing the opportunity presented to him and making a case for getting playing time in his rookie season.
