Connor Rogers of NBC Sports recently provided a list of quarterbacks, and Notre Dame’s CJ Carr made the cut in a short group of surefire 2027 NFL draft first-round picks.
Rogers’ list of projected first-round signal callers include Carr, Oklahoma State’s Drew Mestemaker and Ole Miss’s Trinidad Chambliss.
Aside from noted top players under center, Rogers also listed “fringe” QBs for the upcoming draft. The rundown includes South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers, Miami’s Darian Mensah, Texas’ Arch Manning, Oregon’s Dante Moore and Missouri’s Austin Simmons.
Carr has completed 66.8% of his passes for 1,639-yards, 16 touchdowns and interception with a 164.6 QB rating through seven games with the Irish this season. The star QB also has three rushing scores.
The junior also averages 8.5 yards-per-throw and has only been sacked twice so far.
