At the current moment, Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr isn’t viewed as a Heisman Trophy frontrunner, but if he continues his stellar play, he’ll force his way into the conversation.
With big games against BYU and Miami coming up, there will be some “Heisman Moments” that will arise for the redshirt sophomore. Carr’s second season starting has brought incredible consistency, passing for over 230-yards in each game, with 13 touchdowns and just one interception. He’s also added three more scores on the ground.
Recently John Fanta spoke to the star quarterback and asked him if there could be a future moment that he could strike the pose. His answer shouldn’t surprise anyone, as around the 5-minute mark Carr would say that “the best celebrations are
ones you do with your teammates.”
There’s a reason he was named a captain before the season, as he knows that without his teammates, all the accolades wouldn’t be possible. Carr isn’t just a great player, he’s a great leader as well.
We appreciate CJ Carr for taking the time on Fanta in 60 to talk all things @NDFootball. His thoughts on the win over North Carolina, what he's improved upon, the NFL QBs he idolizes, what people may not know about Marcus Freeman, ping pong, Good Will Hunting and more: pic.twitter.com/TdLclFQWSI
