The Notre Dame women’s basketball team is in the process of reloading for the future.
Their latest recruit is Chasity Rice, a 2027 four-star point guard out of Etiwanda High School (CA). Rice confirmed her commitment to the Irish
on social media Sunday evening. The 5-foot, 6-inch senior considered SMU, Fresno State and Oregon before she chose Notre Dame. According to ESPN, Rice is the No. 36 overall ranked player on the 2027 SportsCenter NEXT 100 list.Rice’s commitment comes after Eve Long – a 2027 five-star, 6-foot, 3-inch forward out of Olathe South High School (KS) – committed to the Irish in May. According to 247Sports, Notre Dame offered Rice in August. She then went on an official visit in September.
Rice recently played for Sports Academy
Swish of the Nike Girls Elite Youth Basketball League. She averaged 10.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.6 steals a game and shot 39.7% from the field.
