US LBM Coaches Poll No. 6 Notre Dame is coming off its bye week, but that doesn’t mean the Fighting Irish got off scot-free in playoff projections.
On3 moved the Irish from No. 5 to No. 11 in last week’s mock College Football Playoff bracket. This week after not playing, Notre Dame is one of the “First Four Out” teams in On3’s updated projections.
LSU, Tennessee and Alabama are the other “First Four Out” teams listed. On3 has Miami, Ohio State, Georgia and Indiana as the top-four seeds.
Hard to say how believable this projection is, as it current has Northwestern, Kentucky, UCLA, Florida and New Mexico. A few of these teams could make it, but not all of them.
