Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman has done a fanatic job since taking over the program in 2021, racking up wins and national awards.
On Saturday, he accomplished a feat matched only by Irish legendary coach Knute Rockne. According to Brett McMurphy of On3, the two are the only Notre Dame coaches ever to have 12 consecutive wins by double-digits.
It’s an impressive streak that most likely will have Freeman at the top of the list following this weekends contest against Michigan State, as the Irish have opened as big favorites for the Midwest battle. The next game that could see a closer outcome would be at BYU in mid-October, and if it continues, then Miami two weeks later could see the streak coming to an end.
Either way, Freeman has etched himself
into Notre Dame history alongside one of its legendary coaches in Rockne.
