Olivia Miles had a standout women’s basketball career in her four years at Notre Dame.

Now a pro with the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx, Miles has already put together a solid rookie season. In the Lynx’s 101-89 victory over the Connecticut Sun on Sunday, Miles became the WNBA’s new rookie single-season scoring record holder.

Miles, a WNBA all-star who currently has 790 points this season, broke Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark’s record of 769 on a free throw in the second quarter. The Fever star is now in her third season in the WNBA, previously held the record since 2024.

Miles finished with 21 points for the Lynx on Sunday. Minnesota (32-10) will face Indiana on Tuesday and Thursday this week. In her career at Notre Dame, Miles was an AP and USBWA

Second-Team All-American and a three-time first team All-ACC selection.

Miles averaged 14.2 points, 6.5 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game in her career with the Irish. She also had career totals in steals (171) and blocks (22).
