Notre Dame football's road matchup against BYU now has an official start time and television designation.
The FIghting Irish will take on the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. CDT on Sat., Oct. 17, at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah. The announcement included that ABC will be airing the game.
The start time will be 5:30 p.m. local time to Provo which should set up an energized atmosphere for Notre Dame's first visit to Provo since 2004. The two teams recently met and played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas where Notre Dame earned a 28-20 victory.
BYU is currently 4-0 on the season and first place in the Big 12 thus far. Notre Dame is currently sitting at 5-0 for the season and are currently ranked at No. 3 in the US LBM Coaches Poll.
For Notre Dame, a trip
to Provo will provide a challenging environment for the football team. The game will be monitored by many, considering Notre Dame's perceived light schedule this season. If the Irish are able to look impressive then their place as one of the favorites to win the National Championship will gain more respect.
