Notre Dame football players got a lesson in how to do the famed Lambeau Leap, thanks to former Green Bay Packer Jermichael Finley.
The retired tight end came to South Bend to show Fighting Irish players Kaydon Finley, Aneyas Williams, Nolan James Jr., Armel Mukam and Leonard Moore how to do the Leap. Kaydon is Jermichael's son - and there's a funny moment in the video where Kaydon can't complete the leap and Jermichael gives him a hard time for embarrassing the family.
It’s a unique tradition that the Packers have had since 1993, when defensive end Reggie White caused a fumble, picked it up and lateraled it to safety LeRon Butler. He’s rumble to the end zone, finishing off his celebration with a leap into the stands. Since then, it’s been a major
part of Packer-lure, and soon we could see Notre Dame trying its hand at the Lambeau Leap.
This is all in advance of the season-opening game against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. on Sept. 6. The Lambeau Leap is the famed touchdown celebration performed by Green Bay Packers players.
