Notre Dame football has had some bad injury luck with its defense, losing a pair of stars from its secondary.
However, there was good and bad news on Monday, as the Irish updated the status of multiple injured players. Starting with the good, star cornerback Leonard Moore is listed as questionable for BYU, giving hope that he’ll make his return. On top of that, linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa was not on the injury report and listed in the two-deep released on Monday as well. Defensive lineman Jayson Onye was also listed as questionable, as his status is one to monitor as the week progresses.
The bad was that there was no specific timetable for safety Brauntae Johnson’s return, as Freeman said in his press conference it would be “Novemberish”
as to his return. Luke Talich has filled in extremely well, seemingly no drop in play between the two.
Freeman also touched on offensive lineman Charles Jagusah, who he hopes can play later this season. It’s hard to say if that is a possibility, but any progress for him is a good sign.
Leonard Moore (concussion) and Jason Onye (ankle) are both questionable for BYU.
