Coming into this week, all three starting linebackers from last season who weren't brought back by the Raiders were still unsigned. The first to find a new home turned out to be Jamal Adams.
The former safety got his first shot a playing linebacker under his former head coach Pete Carroll in Las Vegas last season and apparently showed enough that the Vikings are giving him a shot to stick. The 30-year-old took to twitter Monday night to announce his signing.

The other starting linebackers for the Raiders are still looking for work after the Raiders took big steps back at the position. Elandon Roberts is 32 years of age and Devin White, despite what his tackle numbers might have suggested, was actually quite bad. Anyone who actually watched
the games would tell you that his tackles were often times after giving up either the catch or significant yards on the ground. Hence the reason the 28-year-old received no interest in free agency.
Adams was clearly still getting used to his new role last season, but he showed he is as passionate as he ever was and can still close on a ball carrier with the best of them. He deserves a shot to see if he can continue to improve in his new position, especially with the outside linebacker position shifting to more toward more of a hybrid safety position than when he entered the league.
