The Rams loaded up this season to make a run at the Super Bowl. But since then, they have been snakebit. And the latest round of injuries happens just ahead of their Week 7 trip to Las Vegas to face the Raiders. Including what would have been Davante Adams's return to his former home field.
Sean McVay announced Monday that Adams suffered a ruptured hamstring that will have the star receiver miss six to ten weeks. A huge blow to the Rams who lose their leading receiver.
It was to be Adams's first time facing the Raiders with whom he spent two full seasons before requesting a trade three games into year three back in 2024. The Raiders facilitated his trade to the New York Jets to reunite with his former QB Aaron Rodgers. That didn't go so well and
the Jets released him the following offseason and he signed on with the Rams, where he has been since the start of last season.
Along with the Rams loss of Adams, two of the team's interior defensive tackles are also headed to injured reserve -- DT's Kobie Turner and Poona Ford.
They join Myles Garrett on IR. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year was acquired in a blockbuster trade this offseason and was injured in the season opener and placed on injured reserve.
The Rams sit at 2-4 on the season, coming off a 18-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
