It’s been a month since the Las Vegas Raiders last tasted victory. Since then, they have lost four straight games, including their Week 7 contest against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Raiders fought back by scoring 15 fourth-quarter points. However, Los Angeles’ lead was so huge that it didn’t matter. Las Vegas’ losing streak extends to four games, while the Rams broke a two-game skid.
There’s much uncertainty surrounding the Raiders and going on the road for their next two matches might not help their chances to break their slump, either.
But before looking forward, let us look back at the telling numbers that defined the Week 7 Raiders-Rams game.
Matthew Stafford establishes the Rams’ franchise TD passes record
The reigning NFL Most Valuable Player torched the Raiders' defense with three passing touchdowns. Those
were enough to give him 155 TD passes for the Rams, surpassing 1969 NFL MVP Roman Gabriel for the most scoring throws in Rams franchise history. This milestone also made him the first quarterback to hold the record for two franchises.
What the Raiders will remember, though, is the 21-3 deficit they were staring at with four minutes left before halftime. Stafford found tight end Davis Allen twice and wideout Puka Nacua once to rout the Raiders.
Rams nearly had two 100-yard rushers
It wasn’t even close, as the Rams finished with 199 rushing yards. Blake Corum (93) and Kyren Williams (99) were just a few yards away from having 100 yards each.
In contrast, the Raiders’ run game futility continues, generating only 48 yards on the ground. While coming from behind didn’t help the run game, it’s not the first time that the opponent has shut down Las Vegas’ ground attack.
This output has the Raiders averaging a measly 74.7 yards per game, the second-worst rate in the league.
Raiders struggled in the red zone
The Raiders only had one successful red zone attempt out of five tries. They had a third-quarter drive that stalled on the Rams’ 13-yard line due to an incomplete fourth-down pass from Kirk Cousins to Cody White.
Likewise, they settled for a field goal from the Rams’ 10-yard line before halftime. That’s a possible 13 points left on the table, which could have made the game more competitive.
Raiders tied franchise record for points allowed
No Raiders team has allowed more consecutive games giving up 27 points than the five games the Raiders did it.
Las Vegas allowed four touchdown drives to the Rams in the first half alone, three of which coming in the second quarter, to make it a 28-3 game with 1:30 left until the half. And with that, they tied the record for the most consecutive games allowing at least 27 points in franchise history.
Since this is an active streak, it means that should they give up 27 points to the Jets next week, they would set a new franchise record.
Tre Tucker tied for most deep catches in NFL in 2026
With his 41-yard reception in the game, Tucker now has 4 receptions of 40+ yards in 2026, tied for themost in the NFL. He is averaging 16.3 yards per reception this season, the third highest mark in the NFL among qualified receivers.
