The Patriots already lost their *technical* Super Bowl rematch when the Seahawks beat them 13-10 in the opener. The one big difference there was the offensive coordinator for the Seahawks when they beat the brakes off of them in the Super Bowl is no longer with the team.
That man is Klint Kubiak. He is now the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders
. And THAT rematch is set for this Sunday in New England.Kubiak's offense in Seattle was third in the league in points scored. Through four games without him, they are 10th. while Kubiak's new team is eighth.
In the Super Bowl, the Seahawks pummeled the Patriots. Seattle was up 29-7 with under three minutes left in the game.
An interesting wrinkle here is the Patriots offensive coordinator both in the Super
Bowl and now is former Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels. He is calling the plays for the 30th ranked offensive in the league in terms of points scored.
Safe to say the Raiders have the better end of things from an offensive scheming perspective in this rematch.
