The Raiders will be shorthanded at wide receiver on Sunday in New England with Jalen Nailor OUT with a concussion. But they could also face the Patriots be without starter Ashton Jeanty at running back who is Questionable with ankle and foot injuries.
What could be a sign the Raiders will be without Jeanty, they elevated rookie RB Roman Hemby from the practice squad. They also called up WR Deven Thompkins to help their beleaguered wide receiver corps.
Jeanty has been showing signs of his injured ankle through the team's first four games. Then against the Chiefs, he appears to have aggravated the injury and added a foot injury.
Hemby was signed this offseason as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana. This will be his first appearance for the Raiders
should Jeanty be inactive. Mike Johnson would start in that instance with Dylan Laube as the primary backup.
Thompkins in a veteran receiver and return specialist. He spent camp with the team.
