After jumping out to a 3-0 record to beging the season, two tough matchups have the Raiders now sitting at 3-2 on the season. They looked like two very different teams in those losses, the first being a competitive. hard-fought loss to the Chiefs at home, and the second a blowout loss to the Patriots in New England.
This game brings the Raiders back to Vegas, but has them facing off against the top offense in the NFL. Can they rally from their recent loss and bounce back? Or will their losing streak reach three games?
I gathered the Raiders Wire staff to get their picks for the Raiders game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Here are those picks.
Justin Melo -- Bills 30, Raiders 17
The Las Vegas Raiders defense will struggle to stop Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills' high-octane
offense. The Raiders aren't ready to compete at this level yet.
Marvin Uzor -- Bills 31, Raiders 24
Yes we can all agree that the Raiders have enough firepower with Kirk Cousins and Brock Bowers to keep this close. But giving up 102 points in three games, honestly doesn't inspire much confidence against Josh Allen and James Cook. So I really think Buffalo pulls away late.
Lamarr Fields -- Bills 35, Raiders 31
The Raiders offense will put up points and compete, but Josh Allen and James Cook will be too much for the Raiders' defense. I think the Raiders will run the ball well and Brock Bowers will have a huge game, but Allen's dual-threat capability will hurt the Raiders.
Lance Fernandez -- Bills 35, Raiders 24
The energy for the Raiders will be there, considering that they will be playing at home. However, they are 29th in rushing yards allowed per game, and that's a troubling fact when the Raiders are set to face Josh Allen and James Cook. If Buffalo's run game stalls, Allen can air it out and the Raiders' secondary isn't a sure bet in stopping the Bills' passing attack. The Raiders will get their points, especially with Brock Bowers back in the lineup. But an unhealthy Ashton Jeanty and a questionable offensive line means the Raiders might not have enough to match the Bills toe-to-toe.
Levi Damien -- Bills 31, Raiders 26
No matter how surprising the Raiders had been in their first four weeks, nothing the Bills are doing is a surprise. They have elite players on offense who can have been putting up big numbers against some very good teams this season. The Patriots had their way with the Raiders defense last week, posting 45 points on them with relative ease. Though this week the Raiders should have a bit more success on offense, they can't keep pace with the Bills.
Pick totals: Bills 5, Raiders 0
Average score: Bills 32, Raiders 24
It's unanimous. Everyone sees the Bills coming into Allegiant and leaving with a win. All have the Bills scoring at least 30 points. There is a bit more range in terms of how much the Raiders are expected to score.
