The Raiders will be without WR Jalen Nailor with a concussion. And they won't get any help from Dont'e Thornton as he was not activated for the game off of injured reserve. Also OUT is rookie G Trey Zuhn (knee). RB Ashton Jeanty (ankle/foot) is Questionable.
Raiders injury report analysis
Things are looking even more bleak at wide receiver than they did coming into the season. The Raiders also have WR Jack Bech on injured reserve. Which means they are down two starters and Thornton who they had hoped could be their X receiver this season. Tre Tucker
will continue to be the team's number one wide receiver with former practice squad player Cody White stepping up on the other side.
Expect the offense to run through the tight ends again. Brock Bowers is back after missing the first couple games of the season and Michael Mayer has been a major factor as well.
If Jeanty can't go, rookie Mike Washington Jr will get the start. The next man up after that is Dylan Laube. The team could also call up either Roman Hemby or Owen Wright from the practice squad.
Patriots injury report. analysis
The Patriots are seriously banged up. Especially at cornerback where both starters Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis have been ruled OUT along with backups Channing Canada and Karon Prunty. CB Charles Woods is Questionable with a shoulder injury.
Woods would be expected to start across from Marcus Jones for this game. Who knows who their third CB would be at this point. And if Woods can't go? An even bigger yikes. Lucky for them, the Raiders are thin at wide receiver. Unlucky for them, they still have Brock Bowers.
Also OUT are WR Mack Hollins and FB Reggie Gilliam.
Six other players are listed as Questionable including DT Christian Barmore, LBs Christian Elliss and De'Mont Jones, RB Rhamondre Stevenson, and S Craig Woodson.
