The 2026 NFL season is a pivotal one for Las Vegas Raiders right tackle DJ Glaze. Often considered to be in contention to be replaced, the former Maryland standout needs a big performance in 2026. There are two key stats that strongly indicate Glaze is having a terrific season.
Pro Football Focus has credited Glaze with allowing just four pressures and one sack in four appearances. But not all pressures are created equal. The more advanced stats paint an even rosier picture.
Glaze has allowed just nine pressures on 149 pass blocks, equaling a 6.0% pressure rate — fourth-lowest among RTs this season, according to Next Gen Stats. It represents the best start of his career. But again, not all pressures are created equal, and a second in-depth stat
represents another highlight for Glaze.
FTN (For the Numbers) tracks an advanced stat called quick pressures. Basically, if an NFL tackle allows a pressure in under 2.5 seconds, that is bad. But if the pressure arrives after the 2.5 second mark, then the QB generally has enough time to cycle through his progressions and find a solution.
The average Glaze pressure is happening at 2.78 seconds on average, according to their advanced tracking data. Only 44.4% of the pressures allowed by the 2024 third-round pick have occurred in 2.5 seconds or less ("quick pressures"). The ascending tackle is typically holding up nicely for Kirk Cousins.
Glaze is playing big-time ball for the Raiders heading into Sunday's Week 5 matchup with the New England Patriots.
