The Las Vegas Raiders defense have a tall task if they hope to neutralize the Buffalo Bills’ potent offense in Week 6. In particular the ground game. Otherwise, Josh Allen and James Cook can make it a long day.
This would be true for any team. It’s not reassuring, though, that the Raiders have struggled to stop the run in their first five games. According to TeamRankings, the Raiders are the second-worst team in yards allowed per carry (5.2) and 29th in total rushing yards per game at 140.6.
Additional numbers suggest it's even worse than that. Fantasy Points owner and Chief Executive Officer Scott Barrett shared on X what could be a glaring mismatch between the Bills’ offensive line and the Raiders’ defensive line.
This might be the biggest mismatch
I've ever seen: Buffalo's OLine vs. Las Vegas' DLine Best Run-Blocking Offensive Lines by RB Yards Before Contact per Attempt [Since 2021] 1. 2026 Bills (3.65) ---[big gap]--- 2. 2025 Ravens (3.09) 3. 2024 Eagles (3.07) Worst Run-Defending… pic.twitter.com/JISfXpDkYb

Barrett revealed in his post that, compared with all NFL teams since 2021, the 2026 Bills have the best run-blocking offensive line in running back yards before contact per attempt, at 3.65. Then there's a dropoff, with the 2025 Baltimore Ravens (3.09) and 2024 Philadelphia Eagles (3.07) completing the top three.
Conversely, the Raiders have the worst run-defending line since 2021, giving up 3.11 RB yards before contact per attempt. That’s significantly worse than the 2026 New Orleans Saints (2.76) and the 2022 New York Giants (2.72).
Not helping thing is the absence of defensive tackle Tonka Hemingway due to a concussion, which could spell trouble for the home team.
