Today the Bills seem to have sent a bit of a message. That they will cut you, even if you're a starter, if you pull what CJ Gardner-Johnson did.
Two weeks ago, the Bills starting safety was kicked out of Buffalo's game against the Raiders for spitting. The projectile seemed to be directed at TE Brock Bowers, which like, yeah we can all understand how frustrating Bowers can be to cover on the field, but he's also not the type of person who would earn that kind of ire with his attitude.
Not that it matters, there's no good reason for that kind of behavior. And thus, Gardner-Johnson was not only kicked out of the game, but he was suspended for the Bills' next game. That being their matchup with the rival Washington Commanders on Sunday. A game the Eagles
lost 27-10.
Two days later, right before he was to return to practice, the Eagles cut him. That is one costly bit of salivation.
