Going into Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins, Raiders QB Kirk Cousins was two touchdowns away from reaching 300 for his career. And that isn't just a nice round number. It's the number Hall of Fame QB John Elway landed on for his career.
Cousins would reach that mark before half time
, tying him for 15th in NFL history. And not long into the third quarter, he would hit three touchdowns for the game and thus put Elway's mark behind him.The veteran QB was mic'd up for the game, and thus was heard joking about it with Raiders head of media relations, Will Kiss.

"That's a pretty decent name. He had a decent career,"
Cousins joked regarding Elway.
It took Elway 16 season to reach the 300 mark. Cousins just did it in the first game of his 15th NFL season.
On the one hand, Elway played in a very different era from 1983-98. On the other hand, Cousins didn't become a full time starter until his fourth season in the NFL.
Suffice it to say, it's an impressive mark all the same.
