The Las Vegas Raiders released Dare Ogunbowale on Sunday, according to Raiders Wire’s Levi Damien. With the Raiders preparing to sign him to the practice squad following the roster move.
#Raiders will look to get RB Dare Ogunbowale back onto the practice squad after release today. I expect he could see an elevation if Ashton Jeanty misses time.

Ogunbowale played well in the preseason, and while he will not start the year on the Raiders’ 53-man roster, he has the potential to make an impact on the field in the event that he’s signed to the active roster at some point in the year.
Ogunbowale recorded 35 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown on four carries in the Raiders’ 22-20 win over the Houston Texans in Week 2 of the preseason. He then went
for 37 rushing yards on 10 carries in Las Vegas’ 18-12 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3 of the preseason.
Though he has yet to record over 145 rushing yards in any of his nine seasons played in the league, he did help the Texans reach the playoffs in each of his last three seasons with the team from 2023-25, which offers Las Vegas a playoff-tested veteran to keep in their ranks for next season.
