The Las Vegas Raiders answered several questions on their roster this offseason with the moves that they made in the open market and the draft, but next year has a draft class that is as enticing as ever to look forward to. The Raiders are expected to be in the mix for a top 10 pick in the draft in 2027, and with that may come the chance to add a franchise cornerstone at the wide receiver position.
Bleacher Report has the Raiders taking Texas wide receiver Cam Coleman with the No. 6 overall pick in their 2027 NFL mock draft.
“Cam Coleman is a physically gifted pass-catcher with dominant traits and abilities. The 6'3", 203-pound junior prospect is an explosive leaper with the catch-radius to win on 50/50 balls and back-shoulder fades. He can create
a dynamic duo with star tight end Brock Bowers, allowing Mendoza to develop into the highly precise passer the Raiders need."
Tre Tucker is the Raiders’ No. 1 wide receiver for next season, and has the potential to produce like a No. 2 option behind the star tight end Bowers. Malik Benson has also been a standout in training camp this summer, and showed flashes of being an NFL-ready starter in the Raiders’ preseason opener against the Cardinals.
However, Las Vegas still needs a surefire No. 1 option in their wide receiver room. Coleman may be able to give them that in 2027 and beyond.
Coleman recorded 708 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 2025 at Auburn prior to transferring to Texas. He is ranked No. 12 overall and No. 2 among all wide receivers in Pro Football Focus’ big board for next year’s draft. All signs point to him being among the top wide receivers not named Jeremiah Smith that will potentially be within reach for teams in the top 10 to consider, Las Vegas included.
