The Las Vegas Raiders must trim their roster from 90 to 53 players before 3 p.m. PT on Sunday. There is just one cutdown day as opposed to gradual cuts throughout the preseason, which was done a few years ago.
There are a handful of players who have made a case for a roster spot, but they won’t all make the cut. After forming the 53-man roster, Las Vegas will start putting together their practice squad, which should feature some of those names who just missed the cut.
But with some tough cuts on the way, the initial 53-man roster won’t necessarily be the final roster heading into Vegas's season opener against the Miami Dolphins.
We’re tracking the Raiders’ roster cuts as they happen before Sunday's deadline. Stay tuned to this page for updates.

Where are the Raiders in the waiver order?
The initial waiver order from now through Week 3 is the same as the original 2026 NFL Draft order before trades. That's right, the Raiders are number one in the waiver order. And Klint Kubiak has made it clear the Raiders will 'look very hard' at the waiver wire.
