Brock Bowers didn't need an announcement. When he took the field for the first time in 2026 on Sunday, he announced himself with authority.
Bowers caught the first pass from scrimmage for the Raiders offense, and when all was said and done, he had 10 catches for 116 yards and the final touchdown that put the Raiders ahead for good.
Those efforts have earned him AFC Player of the Week honors.
Bowers had little in the way of competition for the award, as most of the best offensive performances this week came from the NFC.
The All Pro tight end missed the first two weeks after having a meniscus cleanup just prior to the start of the season that cause him to miss the first two game.
He didn't appear to be anything less than 100% in his return and also
didn't seem to suffer any setbacks, which is a great sign for his chances of returning to the form he had when he was named an All Pro as a rookie in 2024.
