Before practice on Wednesday, Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak said Ashton Jeanty would be on the field. How much of a participant the second-year back would be was the question. And from the looks of things, he was quite active.
Jeanty's visible work in practice ran the gamut. Taking handoffs and pitches, moving across the formation, and catching short passes.

While Jeanty looks good, the difference between light work in practice and a game is considerable. I would almost expect him to receive
a limited designation for today's practice when the official report comes out. But that is to be expected.
This is the first time Jeanty has practiced with his teammates since he was helped off the field during their training camp practice back on August 23. You don't just take him from zero to 100 in one day. He was working on the side last week for the first time and the logical next step is limited reps in practice as they ramp him up.
This ramping up could ultimately mean he is ready to go for the season opener. Friday's final injury report will be the next milestone in terms of his availability to go for Sunday's season opener against the Miami Dolphins in Las Vegas.
