It's kind of crazy, really. While the Raiders in the midst of a four-game losing streak, their quarterback has been steadily rising in the ranks in terms of his passing yards numbers. Last week he just moved into the top five. Now he has jumped up two spots to third in the league.

Sunday against the Rams, Cousins added 295 yards to his season total. He has been remarkably consistent in his passing numbers this season, but it's telling that his three highest output passing games have come during this four-game losing streak.
Much of it would seem to be because the Raiders can't rely on the ground game, putting it on Cousins to get the team's yards almost entirely through the air. Add that the Raiders have been playing from behind each of the past
four weeks and you have a recipe for putting up some big numbers through the air. Especially when you figure some of those numbers have come with the game out of reach.
The problem is that's not a winning formula. That's precisely what teams do when they are losing. And with the way things have been going, I wouldn't be surprised if Cousins keeps rising up these ranks. At least so long as he's the starter, which he will be for at least one more week.
