It became clear very early in the Raiders' game in New England that Patriots QB Drake Maye was just taking whatever he wanted. Everything he tried, worked. With the Raiders defense seeming completely powerless to stop it.
If you found yourself thinking you hadn't seen a peformance this efficient this season, you were right.
The numbers are in and Maye's near perfect passer rating of 150.9 was the best in the league through first six weeks among QBs with at least 25 passes.
Drake Maye's 150.9 passer rating vs. the #Raiders is the highest any QB with at least 25 dropbacks has had this year, while his 17.5% completion percentage over expected and 0.76 EPA per dropback each rank third.

Maye's final numbers for the game were 26 for 34 (76.5%) for 374
yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions. You quite literally don't have days much better than that.
As for how this compares to Maye's career, it's his third best passer rating, the second most touchdown passes, and his third best completion percentage in games which he threw at least 25 passes.
A few of the completions in Sunday's game were screens and dump offs. But that wasn't the reason for his eye-popping numbers. Six of his passes that went over 15 yards were deep throws, including a completions for 49, 35 (TD), 34 (TD), and 31 yards.
Simply put, it didn't matter where the ball was going, the Raiders weren't stopping it.
