The moment Brock Bowers set foot on the field for the first time this season, he reminded everyone just how dominant a player he is when healthy. And his return performance has earned him a Player of the Week nomination.
Bowers is among the nominees for the FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week for his Week 3 performance in New Orleans.
The former All Pro exploded for ten catches for 116 yards and a TD to help the Raiders improve to 3-0 on the season to earn the nomination.
Here's who he is competing against for the honor
- Atlanta RB BIJAN ROBINSON recorded 29 carries for 194 yards and two touchdowns, as well as two catches for 19 yards.
- Buffalo RB JAMES COOK recorded 24 carries for 154 yards and one touchdown.
- Detroit RB JAHMYR GIBBS recorded 164 scrimmage yards (99 rushing, 65 receiving) and three scrimmage touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving).
- San Francisco QB BROCK PURDY completed 15 of 27 attempts (55.6 percent) for 297 yards and four touchdowns with a 133.8 rating.
- Washington QB MARCUS MARIOTA completed 19 of 31 attempts (61.3 percent) for 183 yards and three touchdowns with a 110.0 rating.
From the outset, it looks like Falcons RB Bijan Robinson is probably the most deserving with his monster performance in the Falcons' win.
