It's on. The game of the week between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs. Prior to the season, no one could have predicted these two teams would be facing off with both teams undefeated.
Taking this one is no small thing. For the Raiders, they would surpass their entire 2025 season total. And that's including the gift win over the Chiefs (who sat all their starters) to close out the season. It would also mean AFC West supremacy. And the respect of the rest of the NFL.
The last time the Raiders started a season 4-0, they went on to the Super Bowl. At the risk of getting ahead of ourselves, that's not suggesting that's what we'd be talking about. Just to say that it's been a long time. And to say that such a record usually means they have
a great chance of being contenders this season.
The same would go for the Chiefs if they win. But for the Chiefs, losing might be a bit more disheartening. Suddenly they have a new formidable foe in their own division with a new head coach and young QB with a chance to sustain it long term.
Yeah, that's a lot. Hey, it's a big game.
