One of the decisions the Raiders were having to make at the deadline was what to do with their interior offensive linemen. Who to keep and who to cut. Their decision got a little easier today when they struck a deal with the Jets in exchange for former starter Jordan Meredith.
The Raiders are trading center Jordan Meredith to the Jets, source said. He has started 19 games over the last two seasons.

The deal reportedly includes the Raiders sending a 2027 seventh round pick to New York in exchange for a 2027 sixth round pick.
Meredith has had decent play at times over the past couple years in Las Vegas, mainly at guard. The previous coaching staff tried him at center and that didn't really work out. Primarily because their coaching was so utterly
terrible.
In New York, Meredith reunites with Geno Smith who was at quarterback during that disastrous 2025 run. So, the Jets really think there's more potential in that Raiders offense due to poor coaching.
Meredith was looking like he could make the Raiders roster. With him gone, it would seem to raise the chances of someone line Atonio Mafi to make the squad as they were competing for snaps at the left guard spot most of camp.
