A few quarterbacks in the NFL came roaring out the gates to lead the league in passing yards early. Kirk Cousins didn't, but the 38-year-old may be proving the old addage that slow and steady wins the race.
Sunday against the Bills, Cousins threw for over 300 yards for the second time in three weeks. And his consistent production thus far has now moved him inside the top five passing yards through six weeks of the season.

While we give Cousins kudos for moving into the fifth spot, you may notice the name atop that list is the man who will be lining up behind center for the Raiders' opponent next Sunday -- Matt Stafford.
Where Cousins has Stafford beat, however, is touchdown passes. In fact, no one has more TD passes this season than the 14 by Kirko
Chains. Brock Purdy and Trevor Lawrence each also have 14. Stafford has a respectable 11, which is tied for 11th in the league.
We shall see this Sunday when the two of them take the same field if Cousins can move up the passing yards ranking or if Stafford can move up the TD pass rankings.
