Tuesday the Raiders made their aquisition of Darrell Luter Jr official, claiming him off waivers from the 49ers. And with the official announcement, they also announced they had waived CB Decamerion Richardson.
Immediately afterward, the team took to the field for the first time since the cutdowns and subsequent moves were made. And as if Richardson never left, the number 25 was out on the field. It was Luter.

That number 25 jersey didn't even touch the ground. Richardson left the building and Luter came right in and took his number 25 right off his back (so to speak).
Richardson had worn the number 25 throughout his three years in Las Vegas and often times being the odd
man out after a waiver claim will earn an invite back onto the practice squad. But if he goes unclaimed off waivers and comes back to the Raiders' practice squad, he will do so with a different number.
In case you're curious, numbers in the 20s still available include 21, 22, 24, and 29.
