The announcers are set for Sunday's games. The Raiders will play in the afternoon on FOX. And while they do, minority owner Tom Brady will be calling a game for FOX...across the country in Philadelphia.
It's one of those bits of interesting double duty situations for Brady. While just today Kirk Cousins was talking about how available Brady has been to the Raiders quarterbacks along with how visible he was at training camp practices this offseason, he still has his job as a FOX analyst to do. And some people might find it strange to have him in the booth calling a game involving the team with which he has an ownership stake.
While Brady is in Philly, the Raiders will instead get former Broncos offensive lineman Mark Schlereth as their game analyst
alongside play-by-play announcer Chris Myers.
Schlereth played 12 seasons in the NFL, the last six of which in Denver from 1995-2000. He was with ESPN from 2004-17 and has been an analyst with FOX since 2017 while still hosting a radio show in Denver for 104.3 The Fan. So, yeah, he still keeps his strong connection to the Raiders bitter rival while being asked to be an impartial analyst when covering Raiders games for FOX. Which is probably easier at this point than asking Tom Brady to be impartial.
