Thursday the Raiders were busy. They worked out several players and when all was said and done, they added three new players to the practice squad, cutting three others.
The additions were highlighted by former seventh overall pick Evan Neal and former second round edge rusher Azeez Ojulari. They also signed WR Ronnie Bell.
In corresponding moves, the Raiders released DE Jahfari Harvey, T Kamar Missouri, and TE Albert Okwuegunam.
Neal was selected at seven overall by the Giants in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Alabama. He appeared in 29 career games with 27 starts over three seasons in New York. He didn't play last season due to injuries.
Ojulari was a second round pick (50 overall) by the Giants in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Georgia. He joins four other
former Bulldogs on the Raiders roster, including LB Nakobe Dean who was also teammates with Azeez in Philadelphia last season.
Bell was a 7th round pick by the 49ers in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Michigan. The 6-0, 192-pound receiver has appeared in 28 career games for the 49ers and Saints, catching 10 passes for 113 yards and four touchdowns.
