Texas A&M and Arizona State are both coming off dominant wins in which they outscored their opponents by a combined 120-7. That will not be the case this week, as both teams will look to make a statement early in the season by logging a quality win.
The Aggie offense started off a little slow before getting things in order and running away with the game in the second half. ASU, meanwhile, was on fire the entire game, to the point where the coaches agreed to a 10-minute fourth quarter. This week's matchup will be completely different, which should make for an intriguing game.
Even with that, the experts believe the Aggies will come away with the win. Now, they aren't expecting a 50-point blowout, but A&M is a two-touchdown favorite, and that's
where there is some disagreement. Teams already get a bump for playing at home, and when you factor in more than 100,000 screaming fans at Kyle Field, it's easy to understand why the Aggies are favored. However, football is such a year-to-year sport these days that anyone can really win on any Saturday.
Here’s who the experts are picking to win this week’s showdown:
- Tom Fornelli - CBS Sports: Texas A&M
- Chip Patterson - CBS Sports: Texas A&M
- Brandon Marcello - CBS Sports: Texas A&M
- David Kenyon - Bleacher Report: Texas A&M
- Pete Fiutak - College Football News: Texas A&M
Once again, the experts are in agreement, as all five are choosing A&M to stay undefeated early this season.
