No. 14 Texas A&M returns to Reed Arena on Sunday afternoon to host Mississippi State in its third SEC match of the season.
The Aggies improved to 9-5 overall and 2-0 in conference play by sweeping Alabama 25-18, 25-22 and 25-19 on Friday night. A&M has now won five consecutive matches and swept each of its last three opponents. Megan Fitch led the offense against Alabama with a career-high 14 kills, while the Aggies matched their season high for blocks in a three-set match with 12.
Mississippi State entered the weekend 11-1 and riding a nine-match winning streak after defeating LSU in five sets in its SEC opener. The Bulldogs present a tougher test than their record might have suggested entering the season, and they won their last match at Reed
Arena in three sets.
