The Texas A&M Aggies are set to play the LSU Tigers in their first road game of the season on Saturday, and they could be doing so without two key players.
Starting wide receiver Ashton Bethel-Roman and reserve running back Jamarion Morrow have both been listed as questionable on the initial SEC availability report released on Wednesday night ahead of the game. Wide receiver Terry Bussey, who will miss the rest of the season with an injury, is the only Aggie listed as out.
Bethel-Roman started the first two games of this season, catching two passes for 13 yards. The junior started all 13 games for Texas A&M last year and has caught 30 passes for 560 yards and six touchdowns in 19 career games. Their passing attack struggled last week without Bethel-Roman and Bussey,
with quarterback Marcel Reed completing 26 of his 49 passes for 236 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.
Morrow, who is listed as a co-starter at running back with Rueben Owens II, also missed the Kentucky game. He has served as their No. 2 running back so far, carrying the ball 16 times for 56 yards and one touchdown. The senior has also caught three passes for 32 yards.
One positive development for Texas A&M is that freshman running back KJ Edwards is not listed on the report after leaving the Kentucky game. He carried the ball five times for 28 yards and caught two passes for six yards before departing.
The game between Texas A&M (2-1, 0-1 SEC) and LSU (2-1, 0-1 SEC) is set to start at 6:30 p.m. CT and will air on ABC. While it is early in the season, the loser will be 0-2 in conference play with plenty of tough games remaining.
